CBSE Class 11 is an important year for students after Class 10. CBSE Class 11 students build their basics of the subject and focus on the strong concept, which is helpful in class 12. CBSE provides NCERT books, which are easy to understand and help the students to score better marks in their exams. The NCERT books are based on the 21st century, and technology has transformed the way knowledge is delivered, accessed, and shared.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has made the changes in the CBSE Class 11 curriculum; now the curriculum is based on critical thinking, multidisciplinary study, and preparing the students for higher education. As per the new pedagogical structure (5+3+3+4), CBSE has adopted the NCF-FS 2022, which aligns with NEP’s 5+3+3+4 model. CBSE Class 11 comes in the secondary stage, from grades 9 to 12, which focuses on multidisciplinary learning and flexibility in subject combinations. Students can easily select the subjects across streams like science, commerce, and humanities.

NEP also focused on critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving rather than memorization. The CBSE Class 11 students are also encouraged to explore arts, vocational subjects, and skill-based courses along with core subjects. The integration of technology in the classroom helps the student to learn easily. Now CBSE focused on application of knowledge, not focused on theoretical recall. Now, whatever question paper and sample papers are given by the CBSE, these are aligned with NEP’s vision.

NEP mandates exposure to vocation courses from the school level. Class 11 students can opt for subjects like coding, entrepreneurship, agriculture, or design thinking. NEP also ensures inclusive education, which is for all, including students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
